Spike
Spike is a Special Shot that allows the Comet to slowly fly up to a maximum high point before swiftly firing at the ground at a steep angle. Spike shot can only be performed with the Wood club type.

Steps to perform a Spike shot

1. You must be in a Power Shot stance, achieved by having at least one full bar segment on the Combo Gauge and pressing "Alt" once on the keyboard or by using an Active Item that produces the same effect.
2. You must use a Wood club (1W, 2W, 3W).
3. As the toggle bar moves to the right on the power bar, select a power for the shot that is 80% or higher.
4. When the toggle bar moves back to the left, after it passes halfway (but before it reaches back to the start point), press the "Right" then "Down" key in succession. If done correctly, the arrows will show up like in the picture in the right.
5. Land on the Impact Zone or within the Pink Zone to have the word "Spike" appear on the power bar and perform the shot.
Notes about Spike shot
- Unlike a normal Power Shot, Spike does not the bounce the Comet if it directly lands on the ground, which allows the shot to be more precise.
- If the Spike is performed without hitting a successful Pangya, the Spike will set a random Spin and Curve and the Comet will fly in a random direction instead of the intended direction.
- Spike is the most fragile out of all Special Shots. The more Curve set on the Spike shot, the more the Spike shot will fly in an erratic matter.
- Because the Spike shot moves in an incline motion at the beginning, if the landscape the Comet sits on is going uphill, the Spike shot will cause the Comet to hit the land, therefore causing the Comet to move a few yards. Therefore, it is important to consider the landscape before performing a Spike shot.
- Upon reaching its highest point, Spike's travel distance is determined by the elevation of the landscape. A positive elevation will cause the Comet to land closer than the expected distance; a negative elevation will cause the Comet to land farther than the expected distance.
- Spike will incline the farthest and fly up the highest with the 1W. The incline distance and highest height point is less for 2W and even lesser for 3W.
- Upon a successful Spike shot (regardless if successful Pangya shot or not), the Spike Pang Bonus is received. 5 Pang is added to the base total if the Spike is performed using an item or 10 Pang if the Spike is performed by using the Combo Gauge.
Power Spike
Power Spike is the enhanced version of Spike.
The steps to perform the Power Spike shot are the same as performing a Spike shot except you must be in a Double Power Shot stance instead, achieved by having at least two full bar segments on the Combo Gauge and pressing "Alt" twice on the keyboard or by using an Active Item that produces the same effect. The letters will display "Power Spike" instead if successfully performed.
Upon a successful Power Spike shot (regardless if successful Pangya shot or not), the Power Spike Pang Bonus is received. 5 Pang is added to the base total if the Power Spike is performed using an item or 10 Pang if the Power Spike is performed by using the Combo Gauge.
