Par
Par is the predetermined number of strokes that a player should require to complete the hole. For example:
A hole with a Par 5 means that the player should Hole Out in no more than 5 strokes. A hole with a Par 4 means that the player should Hole Out in no more than 4 strokes. A hole with a Par 3 means that the player should Hole Out in no more than 3 strokes.
If the player should take more strokes than necessary to complete a hole, it will result in him being given a Bogey, Double Bogey, Triple Bogey, +4, or +5 depending on how many shots above par it takes for the player to Hole Out. Holing out in less strokes than necessary would give the player a Birdie, Eagle, Albatross, or HIO (Hole In One).
Another way that the term Par can be used, is when the player completes the hole with the exact number of the predetermined strokes that should have been needed. So if a player completed the hole with 5 shots, and it was a Par 5, then the player would receive a Par. The same goes for Par 4s and Par 3s.
The predetermined number of strokes required for a hole depends on the hole's yardage away from the Tee. In PangYa, it is hard to describe general distances of Par 3s, Par 4s, and Par 5s, since they often vary. For example, the Par 3s on White Wiz are generally within range of your high Irons (minus one which is in Wood range), while Blue Lagoon has generally Wood range Par 3s, one of which is nearly 300 yards away.
