Birdie

Birdie is one stroke under (less than) par. For example:

A hole with a Par 5 means a birdie is obtained if the player should Hole Out in 4 strokes. A hole with a Par 4 means a birdie is obtained if the player should Hole Out in 3 strokes. A hole with a Par 3 means a birdie is obtained if the player should Hole Out in 2 strokes.

Obtaining a birdie on a hole will give the player a score of -1.
